Following the launch of the first 76-meter Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) for the Nigerian Navy by our shipyard on October 26, 2023, the second vessel was successfully launched on April 19, 2024.
During the event, attended by Her Excellency the First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs. Remi Tinubu, Nigerian Defense Minister Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, Navy Commander Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, President of Secreteriat of Defense Industries of Türkiye Prof Dr. Haluk GÖRGÜN and Deputy Minister of National Defence of Türkiye Mr. Şuay ALPAY, the significance of this milestone for Nigeria's naval operations was emphasized.
Dearsan Shipyard commenced the construction of the vessels on September 16, 2022. The first 76-meter Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) for the Nigerian Navy was launched on October 26, 2023. With the successful launch of the second vessel, the project is one step closer to completion.
